I know, another gizka picture. Feel free to just ignore it. I wasn't going to post this, I really wasn't, but my twin *tanabatablossom really wanted me to and I didn't want to disappoint her.
I kind of had this already started before the gizka invasion of yesterday. It had been so long since I had done a digital painting I just wanted to see if I still knew where to find my brushes. Glad to find out I'm not any better at painting. lol.
Far told me to go buy more pens. I did but then they got swiped again...
NOTE: No Fars were injured during the drawing of this picture.
There are a lot of pictures in this war now and I simply don't have the time to add them all. Here's the link to the originals. [link] Basically it all comes down to my nephew being mean to me.
Go ahead and blame me then. At least it got you to post another drawing
I love it! The setting, the expression, the pens, the tongue, yada yada. Glad to see you fixed the color of his headband. Now it doesn't look like .... well you know
At least you now know where all your pens are going. They're being used as sporting equipment

Poor Far. But he'll get over it, I guess.
The haiko is rich.
And you did really well with the gizka. The pose looks good and the shading is nice.
About the shadows on the floor: If you use layers (given your software supports that of course) you paint the shadows on a layer underneath the object casting it without leaving a gap between object and shadow or having to fear to paint over your lines.

Once someone said that if a million monkeys were typing 24/7 they should one day reproduce the works of Shakespeare - Now, thanks to the Internet, this has been proven untrue.
Yeah I do use layers but I screwed them up, like I always do, and had to put them all together. *sigh* And seriously, half way through this I kind of decided not to upload it and crapped out on it. Parts of the picture I like and parts I don't. I usually ask Far for help, he's totally my teacher, but can't do that when it's about him.
I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks! You're now officially on the list of people who have to force me to put work up. The funny thing is that when this war first started I wasn't even thinking about being embarrassed about posting and I didn't care about being put in journals...it was all just reaction. And now I'm like, "Whoa, everybody is looking at this..." Aren't I fun?
It was a hard decision for me, going with the pens instead of the sporks but I felt this went better with the flow of the art fight.

Well, I'll leave that to you then. I have precious few nephews and as mean as he'll be with me I can't bring myself to seriously hurt him, even when he deserves it.
I'm such a softie, it's a shame he takes advantage of that.

I would have liked to have seen a picture of Far in the bullseye though. I am getting nasty in my old age.
